How to get Wire SVN

First off, you'll need a SVN Client here are some SVN Clients I recommend

-TortoiseSVN (I recommend this one the most, it's the best one I've used and simple)


There are many more! For this tutorial we only have TortoiseSVN right now but I'll get SmartSVN tutorial up soon!

Alright once you've got them installed you'll need to do a restart.

Now, Go to your desktop and right-click and you should see this:





Click SVN Checkout

You'll see this window pop up:
















I know it looks like alot but all you have to do is type in the URL of the SVN into "URL of repository"
Heres the SVN:
if you are prompted for a username and password try: anonsvn for both the username and password

Hit OK then it will look like this:










It will show you a list of all the files that have been added as it downloads.

NOTE: The download will take several minutes depending on your connection!

When its done it will say something like this:



The number after "At revision:" will vary

When you're done go inside the folder on the desktop that the SVN Client made and "Cut" the Folders inside it into your addons folder which should be here: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\steamusername\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons"

NOTE: Don't move the folder "lua" into addons Just Adv Duplicator, wire, wire model pack
For 64-bit users: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\steamusername\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons"

How to Update wire to the latest version

Now Wire gets updated almost every day, to update it simply right click a folder that was downloaded using SVN (e.g. "wire model pack" folder) and click SVN Update now you may see it say:

Updated (Directory of a file)

I'm sure you already know what it means but if you don't or your just not sure, This means that it updated a file that was already downloaded using SVN
